Cylinder Bore and Hone Service
Dave's Engine and Machine has been specializing in cylinder machining for Over 14 years. We machine cylinders for Dirt Bikes,
Street Bikes, ATVs, Snowmobiles, and Personal Watercraft. We can repair even the most heavily damaged cylinders by
oversized boring or by fitting the cylinder with a sleeve.
The Modern engine requires round and straight cylinders with the proper cylinder wall finish so that the rings don't wear too
fast or carry too much oil. When Boring and Honing 2 stroke Cylinders you must be aware of details like chamfering the port edges
as well as clearance for the power valve.
Cylinder Honing is a machine shop process that takes place after boring in which the cylinders are finish sized and finely
polished to a precise size, bore geometry and ring seal finish.
